On the 19th of abril, Portuguese Ubuntu Community, Master in Open Source Software and ISCTE-IUL ACM Student Chapter organized the Ubuntu v17@ISCTE-IUL, where the new version of Ubuntu was presented. Snaps and Ubuntu Core was also presented.
The chair of the ISCTE-IUL ACM Student Chapter Joao Aparicio delivered the Introduction to Programming Certification of Completion. He also gave a talk about Introduction to Robotics using Arduino. The course was developed and managed by Martinha Piteira, teacher at the School of Technology from the Instituto Politecnico de Setubal.
Jorge Varela (MSc. Software Open Source, BSc Computer Science) IT Manager at Altran, gave an excellent talk about Raspeberri Pi.
In 29th April, we organized the third SmartClass, once more in conjunction with Master in Open Source Software of ISCTE-IUL. The speaker was Carlos Coutinho, CEO of Caixa Mágica Software.
In 20th April, Flavio Moringa, from Caixa Mágica and Tiago Carrondo, from Portuguese Ubuntu Community, participated in our first SmartEvent. The subject was Operating Systems.
