Web Applications and Usability: a Project using WordPress CMS

Last Monday (May 22th), students of Web Applications and Usability course (Postgraduate Program of Informatics Applied to Organizations – ISCTE-IUL) presented one of the projects consisting of developing an organizational website. Students were encouraged to develop the project using WordPress. Prof. Manuela Aparicio supported the students in WordPress customization. In the course, students also learned Javascript, CSS, PHP, and Mysql, allowing them to create a small plug-in. They also used UX and usability concepts and techniques in the process of development and evaluation of the website.

SmartClass: MySQL

In 29th April, we organized the third SmartClass, once more in conjunction with Master in Open Source Software of ISCTE-IUL. The speaker was Carlos Coutinho, CEO of Caixa Mágica Software.

SmartClass: Ansol

We organized the third SmartClass, again in conjunction with Master in Open Source Software of ISCTE-IUL. The speaker was Marcos Marado, from ANSOL.

Smart Class: Social Network Analysis

We organized the second SmartClass, now in conjunction with Master in Open Source Software of ISCTE-IUL. The speaker was Vasco Monteiro, from NOVAIMS.

Smart Class: Hardware Open Source & Robotics

On 13 April we organized the first SmartClass. we organized in conjunction with the discipline of the graduate seminar in Applied Informatics Organizational. The speaker was Carlos J. Costa.
